Figures for production numbers refer to production information released directly or indirectly by Daimler AG. The statistical norm for annual figures is the number of cars produced in that calendar year. They are divided into 5 chapters according to the nature of the products. The first table of each chapter introduces product information. The second table is statistics, this table supports sorting functionality for potential comparisons.
Sedan

The first production bodies of the sedan were produced in May 1990, they were used in the last batch of prototypes. Pilot production began in October 1990. Series production began in March 1991. By August 1998, series production had ceased. In total, 406,720 sedans were produced over 89 months, equivalent to about 4,570 per month, or 152 per day.

Sedan SKD
In order to benefit from preferential import duties, SKD (Semi Knocked Down) models were assembled in South Africa and Malaysia. Assembly of the W 140 E 50 in South Africa began in March 1993, and the W 140 E 32 in May 1993 until September 1994. The assembly of the V 140 E 32 in Malaysia started in June 1993 and ended in December 1997. The assembly of the W 140 E 28 started in February 1995 and ended in February 1998.

Coupe

The first production body of the coupe was produced in October 1991, pilot-production began in July 1992, and series production began in November 1992. Series production ended with the sedan in August 1998. A total of 26,021 units were produced.

The first production bodies of the Sonderschutz were produced in October 1991, and serial production began in July 1992. In August 2000, production ended. 886 units were produced, including the Pullman with special protection.
